WE ARE MERELY PUPAE

Once the eggs are lain, the metamorphosis starts; and never ends. Eggs turn to larvae, build their Chrysalis as pupae, and grow into butterflies. As easy as it is written, the timeline is unforeseeable and the hurdles are unprecedented. Against their will, pupae eventually turn to butterflies. But what if we are unready for the metamorphosis ahead? For a minute, we ought to let the oxygen greet our tired lungs and remind ourselves: We Are Merely Pupae is out now !!! This has been a provocative project to release as quotidian as it sounds, we tend to overlook that we are allowed to be momentarily still. Pauses are not forbidden and we will reach the sun one day at a time. For now, whether you’re a proud pupae or a proud butterfly, I wish you the best during your metamorphosis.

We Are Merely Pupae: Out on January 31st!

ANNOUNCEMENT !!

Greetings to my loyal readers, word consumers, and enjoyers (and perhaps nonfans) of life. Three months have passed since I last published my poetry collection, THE MONTH I FALL. It was my most-visited work yet and for that, I am eternally grateful <3 Explore as you wish anytime on my blog and get updates whenever I post when you give it a follow ! Thank you so much !!!

Before I begin, I would like to greet my dear readers with a late Happy and Healthy New Year ! As we approach February, I hope this year has been kind to you so far and continues to be so. Leave your worries the year they entered your life for more space for grace this year.

To begin with, life has a cycle. Like butterflies, before they flap their kaleidoscope wings out in the open, they undergo the stages of life, overcome invisible hurdles, and strive for themselves before they become who we see — just as humans begin life as newborns and end it as however fate decides to. Although, if I would put the world around me in the butterfly cycle, I would say WE ARE MERELY PUPAE.

If you expected seven poems... you're wrong ! WE ARE MERELY PUPAE contains TEN (10) poems, written by a fearful pupa, surrounded by butterflies, feeling like she's so far behind everyone. Mark your calendars on the 31st of January when the collection is released with no title reveals : )

These were written on a spur ! Unlike my previous collections which were thoroughly brewed for quite some time before being released, I wrote almost all of it one sunny afternoon, when I felt the world was still being so unkind to me despite the smiles I gave to its inhabitants. While reading, I hope you keep in mind that my feelings wrote these, therefore they aren't actually events in my life (Spoiler: no one actually died, for that specific poem). Among all the anxious butterflies, we are merely pupae.

THE MONTH I FALL

As the summer sun bids its farewell, we accept the sunny days are well over. Rather, the afternoons of proper weather that scream your name, the colors of leaves that mirror our story, and the flaccid hearts of lovers that fell harder than bottles of beers; The Month, you, her, him, and I fall is out now !!! October is definitely one of my favorite months to write in, considering all the love in the air and the sadness in the walls. My fingers turn to the letters that spell out how I wallowed in something I will never return to. I wish this collection warm your heart like a fresh cup of hot chocolate (or coffee, whichever you prefer), that comforts you the way they never did. Thank you for everything, dear reader, and have an October that falls in your favor.

The Month I Fall: Out on October 1st!

 ANNOUNCEMENT !!

Greetings to my loyal readers, word consumers, and enjoyers (and perhaps nonfans) of love. Three months have passed since I last published my poetry collection LIED NONE REAL. As always, I am eternally grateful for the unwavering support you have shown. You may read them anytime you wish by navigating through my blog here (which you can also follow ;)

After the joyous and fearless novelties of summer, alas, everything must come to an end, and perhaps... begin a new season. A season in which feelings are suddenly the one sitting in the driver's seat, controlling every road you sojourn to. With that, I proudly announce THE MONTH I FALL.

This collection contains seven (7) poems as it always is, crafted from the leaves that used to remind me of how rich we were together before the wind decided it was time for us to separate ways. From the feelings I stored aside, yearning you would somehow open it again with me on the 1st of October.

This collection is deeply rooted in what I underwent at the same time last year, how the season stays the same yet the people keep on changing. How leaves aren't the only ones with hidden unnatural colors. After all those nine months of floating above, this is the month I fall.

    September CMR (Consumed Media Recap):

  • Last Book Read: Kafka On The Shore by Haruki Murakami
  • Last Movie Enjoyed: The Nun II directed by Michael Chaves
  • Latest Song Discovery: making the bed by Olivia Rodrigo
Alas, there will be no title reveals; all will be published on its release day!

LIED NONE REAL

Dearest reader, with tears streaming down my face and palms on my eyelids, LIED NONE REAL is officially out now !!! For a moment, you will be the void I was whilst writing them; All raw and rotting feelings, worded out and written for you to read. As I said, this is the most personal collection I have published, so it does warm my heart knowing I have shared this with you now. Now that everything has calmed down and though is helping me heal, writing remains the best medicine for me. The seven poems have a sundry of easter eggs in them, too. I shall stop holding you back from reading them. Wishing you a wonderful weekday ahead.
