We Are Merely Pupae: Out on January 31st!

ANNOUNCEMENT !!

Greetings to my loyal readers, word consumers, and enjoyers (and perhaps nonfans) of life. Three months have passed since I last published my poetry collection, THE MONTH I FALL. It was my most-visited work yet and for that, I am eternally grateful <3 Explore as you wish anytime on my blog and get updates whenever I post when you give it a follow ! Thank you so much !!!

Before I begin, I would like to greet my dear readers with a late Happy and Healthy New Year ! As we approach February, I hope this year has been kind to you so far and continues to be so. Leave your worries the year they entered your life for more space for grace this year.

To begin with, life has a cycle. Like butterflies, before they flap their kaleidoscope wings out in the open, they undergo the stages of life, overcome invisible hurdles, and strive for themselves before they become who we see — just as humans begin life as newborns and end it as however fate decides to. Although, if I would put the world around me in the butterfly cycle, I would say WE ARE MERELY PUPAE.

If you expected seven poems... you're wrong ! WE ARE MERELY PUPAE contains TEN (10) poems, written by a fearful pupa, surrounded by butterflies, feeling like she's so far behind everyone. Mark your calendars on the 31st of January when the collection is released with no title reveals : )

These were written on a spur ! Unlike my previous collections which were thoroughly brewed for quite some time before being released, I wrote almost all of it one sunny afternoon, when I felt the world was still being so unkind to me despite the smiles I gave to its inhabitants. While reading, I hope you keep in mind that my feelings wrote these, therefore they aren't actually events in my life (Spoiler: no one actually died, for that specific poem). Among all the anxious butterflies, we are merely pupae.
